Mobile Website

Red Cap Timing now has a mobile website that makes results more accessible on the iPhone, iPod, iPad, and other iPhone-class devices. When you visit our website with your smartphone you will be redirected to the mobile website.

 

The mobile site has the following features:

 

  • Buttons linking to "live results" for our most recent event
  • Links to many of the results published for 2011 and 2012
  • The capacity to convert track and field/cross country results created with HyTek Meet Manager and RunScore to small screen-readable format.
  • Compatibility with many mobile devices and browsers.
  • The flexibility to be used in your browser or to be setup as a web app. If the mobile website is added to your Home Screen it will use the device's full screen and can be launched like a native iPhone app.

Disposable Timing Chips

In January 2012, IPICO Sports announced the availability of one-time use timing tags that attach to bib numbers. These tags were used in Houston at the U.S. Olympic Trials Marathons on January 14. These new timing chips will be available in April 2012. 

 

IPICO Sports will offer several options for the new Bib Tag – both an adhesive label and an integrated bib number format. The integrated bib number will be available in both generic and fully-customized versions. The new disposable timing chips will be available in three single use versions, a fully custom integrated bib tag, a generic integrated bib tag and an adhesive ring tag for application on customer supplied bibs.

 

Depending on race director's needs, Red Cap Timing will offer the new disposable option as well as the reusable timing chips we have used so successfully for cross country and road races.
